Start with the story

Read this out loud before the first clue. It turns “go find some cards” into a mission.

A Bunny Message

Hello, Bunny Helpers!

It’s me, Clover, the Easter Bunny’s littlest helper! This morning I was hopping the basket of golden eggs to the Easter Bunny when I tripped over a carrot. Boing! The basket flipped, and the eggs rolled away in every direction.

The Easter Bunny needs every golden egg back before the big Easter parade. I hopped after them and left eight Golden Egg cards along the way. Each one has a rhyming riddle that tells you where to look next.

Bunny Helpers are gentle, quick and great at sharing. Work together, give a happy hop every time you find a card, and follow the trail to the very end, where a sweet surprise is waiting!

Your first Golden Egg card is attached. Ready, set, hop!

Hoppy hugs,
Clover the Bunny

  5. Clue 5

Dig through the laundry, from evening to morn!

Answer: Laundry Basket. Hide it: On top of the laundry basket.

Between clues, read a easter rhyme to keep the story going:

Oh no, Bunny Helpers, the basket went flop!
The golden eggs rolled with a hippity-hop!

Hippity-hop! A golden egg clue!
Another egg’s hiding and waiting for you!

One egg is left, the most golden of all,
Find it and the bunnies will hop down the hall!

Six to ten clues is the sweet spot for ages 3 to 8. It takes about 15 to 25 minutes, long enough to feel like a quest and short enough that nobody loses interest.

Can I do this hunt in a small apartment?

Yes. Pick spots in every room and zig-zag between them. The apartment trail below uses eight spots every apartment has.
